The experience requirement includes six years of supervisory or above-level experience in areas such as installation, testing, commissioning or maintenance of OHE, RSS, traction distribution, E&M, traction and power supply, SCADA, lifts and escalators, planning and procurement, testing and commissioning and related electrical systems.
Senior Section Engineer Signaling & Telecom
Candidates must have a three-year Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Six years of supervisory or above-level experience in Signaling & Telecom, including project implementation, operation and maintenance of S&T systems, is required.
Senior Section Officer Finance
For the Finance post, candidates need a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Commerce along with an MBA in Finance, or they can possess Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI or Cost & Management Accountant qualification from ICMAI.
The required experience is six years at supervisory or above level in areas such as accounts finalization, direct and indirect taxation, treasury management, company law, corporate governance, bank reconciliation, tender evaluation, annual budgeting, salary and claims processing, audit queries and statutory returns.
Senior Section Officer Legal
Candidates must have a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Law through either a three-year regular course or a five-year integrated regular course from a recognized university or institute.
Six years of supervisory or above-level experience in handling legal cases, legal documentation, contract drafting, statutory compliance and RTI-related matters is required.
Senior Section Officer HR
Candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline along with either an MBA in Human Resource Management or a two-year PG degree/diploma with specialization in HRM, HRD, Personnel Management or Industrial Relations.

Present Pay Scale Requirement
NMRC has prescribed an additional present-pay-scale condition for candidates working in Central Government, State Government, PSUs, Railways, Metro Rail companies and other government bodies.
Candidates should presently be working in the revised IDA pay scale of ₹40,000–₹1,25,000 or CDA pay scale of ₹44,900–₹1,42,400 (Level 7).
Alternatively, candidates with at least two years of service in the revised IDA pay scale of ₹37,000–₹1,15,000 / ₹35,000–₹1,10,000 or CDA pay scale of ₹35,400–₹1,12,400 (Level 6) or above may meet the prescribed requirement.
NMRC also states that the minimum supervisory experience must be from the government sector. Private-sector experience will not be counted towards the minimum post-qualification experience. Management Trainee, Graduate Engineer Trainee and apprenticeship experience is also not counted for this requirement.
