The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is a quasi-judicial body established under the Companies Act, 2013, by the Government of India. Functioning under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, NCLT adjudicates matters relating to company law, insolvency and bankruptcy, mergers and amalgamations, oppression and mismanagement, liquidation, and other corporate disputes. It plays a vital role in ensuring effective corporate governance and speedy resolution of commercial matters across India.
