The Lokpal of India has officially released a vacancy circular dated 27 April 2026 for the recruitment of Joint Secretary posts on deputation basis, including short-term contract basis. Retired officers who have superannuated from analogous or higher posts are also eligible to apply. Officers retired from higher pay level-15 or above can also apply subject to remuneration conditions mentioned in the official notification.

The remuneration for deputation candidates will be provided as per Government of India rules. Retired officers selected on consultancy basis will receive remuneration according to Department of Expenditure guidelines and applicable government instructions. In addition, selected candidates may also receive transport allowance or vehicle facility as admissible under rules.
