The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is a statutory body established under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. BEE is responsible for developing policies and strategies to reduce energy intensity in the Indian economy through energy efficiency measures, awareness programs, standards and labeling initiatives, and sustainable energy conservation practices.
