Strengthening Border Trade and Connectivity
Land Ports Authority of India is a statutory body under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. LPAI is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) at India’s international land borders to facilitate secure and efficient movement of passengers and goods.
The authority plays a key role in promoting cross-border trade, improving border infrastructure, enhancing security coordination, and supporting regional connectivity with neighboring countries. LPAI provides modern facilities for customs, immigration, cargo handling, and logistics operations to strengthen international trade and border management.
