Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. Established in 1986, IWAI is responsible for the development, maintenance, and regulation of inland waterways for shipping and navigation across India. The organization works towards enhancing cargo transportation, promoting eco-friendly water transport, and strengthening maritime infrastructure in the country.
