Headquarters Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) is India's first and only Tri-Service Integrated Theatre Command, functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Established in 2001, the command integrates the capabilities of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Coast Guard to enhance operational efficiency, jointmanship, and strategic preparedness in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands region.
Headquartered at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, ANC plays a vital role in safeguarding India's maritime interests, ensuring security in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), conducting surveillance operations, disaster relief missions, humanitarian assistance, coastal defense, and joint military operations. Due to its strategic location near the Malacca Strait, the command is crucial for India's maritime security and regional stability.
