Promoting India's Traditional Systems of Healthcare
The Ministry of AYUSH is a ministry of the Government of India responsible for developing, promoting, and regulating the country's traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy. Established as a separate ministry in 2014, it formulates policies, supports education and research, promotes medicinal plants, ensures quality standards, and integrates traditional healthcare systems into the national healthcare framework.
