ISRO SDSC SHAR Recruitment 2026 Notification Released for Research Associate-I Vacancy

The Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR), one of the leading centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India, has released the official SDSC SHAR Recruitment 2026 Notification for the post of Research Associate-I (RA-I).

The recruitment is being conducted for one Research Associate-I vacancy with a fixed monthly emolument of ₹58,000. Candidates with a Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech in Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, or related disciplines are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

Essential Qualification

• Ph.D. in:
  • Meteorology
  • Atmospheric Sciences
  • Oceanography
  • Physics
  • Applied Physics
  • Meteorology as the main subject
  • Equivalent disciplines

OR

• M.E./M.Tech in Atmospheric Science/Ocean Sciences with research experience and at least one SCI journal publication related to Atmospheric, Oceanic, or Climate Sciences.

Desirable Qualification

Candidates having the following skills will be preferred:

• Knowledge of computer programming.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Expertise in weather and climate modelling.
• Atmospheric and oceanographic observations.
• Climate data analysis and interpretation.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive:
