Raman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier autonomous research institution funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Founded by Nobel Laureate Sir C. V. Raman in 1948, the institute is dedicated to cutting-edge research in physics and related sciences, including astronomy, astrophysics, light and matter physics, soft condensed matter, and quantum information science.
